G Alan Stewart
is an artist whose work explores the intricate relationship between humanity and the natural world. His practice encompasses both studio paintings and site-specific sculptures that invite viewers to contemplate their connection to the environment. Inspired by mark-making and color found in nature, Stewart's work often juxtaposes stark, whitewashed forms against their natural surroundings. By creating surprising visual elements, he encourages viewers to pause and reflect on their place within the world.
Stewart studied painting and printmaking at the Savannah College of Art and Design and has exhibited his work extensively throughout the Southeast. His accolades include the United Arts Council’s Emerging Artist Grant. Looking ahead, Stewart aims to expand his public art installations, creating immersive experiences that foster a deeper appreciation for nature within urban settings.
