Isabella Losskarn is a pastel artist, researcher, and writer with deep ties to the mountain home of Western North Carolina and the Appalachian beyond. Her work encompasses a variety of subjects, but often returns to contemporary queries on intersections between gender, sexuality, and the human act of living
in a marketized atmosphere. She received her BFA in Drawing from UNC Asheville in 2021, and is currently an MFA candidate at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia.
