About beth

Beth Palmer is a contemporary mixed media visual artist, educator, and concept designer who lives and works in Durham, NC. Her art, in a team effort with community initiatives, has been exhibited on both coasts and is in public and private collections across the US and internationally.

Beth Palmer’s art and her life as an artist can bring fresh perspective and openness to how we see our health, our lives and our relationships. After experiencing a cancer diagnosis and challenging side effects of treatments, Beth drew on her career as an art teacher to begin creating artwork that has been described as “joyful and colorful”, “beautiful and provocative,” “life affirming landscapes of the spirit,” and “Insider-Outsider art.” She is active in both the arts education and arts in healthcare fields, and through her artwork is creating a new imaginative space where those areas connect through partnerships and coalition building as a social entrepreneur.
